Web Development Process
Creating and maintaining an effective online presence requires careful planning, structured implementation, and a variety of skills in new and unfamiliar disciplines. SculptNET will not create a site without a complete consultation or leave your company stranded to muddle its way through the unknown territory of Internet maintenance tasks and marketing decisions after we launch your site. We are committed to providing our customers with timely, reliable, quality service and continued support after the initial design process.

Initial Consultation
Before jumping into a site development contract, we can help you assess your company's overall web site objectives. In order to determine the most effective approach for developing your online presence, we will walk you through the planning process, encouraging you to consider many important e-commerce issues.

Design
After agreeing upon an initial strategy and signing a development contract, it's time to pay your deposit and put our creative design team to work. We will prepare design proofs for you to consider. The details of these proofs depend upon the complexity of the project. Sometimes they may be as simple as a few images showing you what the home page and subpages will look like. For a large scale project, we will create a story-board which will outline the organization of the site and database functions.

Development
Once you've approved a basic design, we'll have you approve the initial HTML with interactivity. Upon approval of the HTML proofs, we'll get to work on formatting your site content - including text, images, illustrations, and database links. We request that you provide us with all of your content at the beginning of the project so we can plan accordingly and will not be slowed down once we begin developing because we are waiting for content. For sites that are fewer than 10 pages, we will show you the site after we've formatted all pages and then make changes as you wish. For extensive sites, we will provide you with a proofing site and we will update the proofing site regularly so that you can see our progress throughout the project. After we are finished adding all content to the site, we will proof the content for errors, conduct usability testing, and get your final approval on the overall site before launching it.

Maintenance Assessment
After your site has been launched, whether you choose to maintain your site in-house or hire us to maintain it, we will guide you in performing periodic evaluations in an effort to keep a fresh presence. It is important to update links, remove outdated text, add new promotions, and occasionally redesign your site to keep users coming back.
